new bird?

I think I would start off with a teil or a bird similier in size in case being scared of being bitten is a concern. Their bite isn't so much of a bit as say a grey or a bigger parrots would be. I would say a male canary but thats a stay in the cage bird but they sing wonderfully in fact thats what we started out with my mom even used to breed them and then we went to finches and then teils and then she adopted a abused grey and so now we have the parrots. But I would go with a bird that has a small bill that way when it decided to take a chomp it won't be so bad
