Lilo - Female Green Cheek Conure ~ Pal - male cockatiel ~ Pheobe - female cockatiel
He is great! He isn't hand tame but with time, he will be better! But question, he is in the main room and I want to bring Lilo down. I know you need to quarantine him but Lilo will get sad if she is in my room for a month! What should I do? Thanks!

Ok here is some more info about him, he is very loud and talkative and plucks just a little but that can be healed in time! He is sweet and loves to sit on my shoulder and let me scratch his head a little bit but he is a doll! :)

Hi! I work in animal care with exotics, and any new transfer is always quarantined. Technically you wouldn't even want them sharing the same air. If coming from a trusted facility, we take a fecal sample and once it is cleared we will introduce animals. But typically what is safest is keeping them separated for a month with minimum three fecal samples taken. Obviously this is a different circumstance, but if you have your vet check out the newbie and you get a clean bill of health, then you could shorten the quarantine sentence :)

Hi! Ok thanks, we did move him to the downstairs bathroom so crisis averted! So we will introduce the friends in about a month :)

Congratulations, we need to see photos of the new Senegal.

ha ha ya, how do I do that???

Be careful letting the new guy ride on your shoulder. Sennies tend to chomp unexpectedly, especially if they are startled or if a "rival" gets too close.

Congrats on the new bird! Pois are great companions.

Congratulations!! You'll have to tell us how this came to happen! :) I thought your dad didn't want another bird?

Ya I hoped for a long tiome that maybe he would change his mind and I proved to him with my school and attitude that he could bring another bird home. So I found an add on craigslist for a Senegal parrot, it was just down the road from us so we stopped by after a bit of phone calling back and forth, and we liked him! He seems to like my dad better but he will tolerate me and sits on me but is a little grouchy because the wife never brought him out of the cage. so it is a work in progress! and now he is "hel8ping" me t+9 type! if you cant tell! :p
