Hello guys! I recently became an owner to a wonderful 3 month old GCC, this is my first time owning a bird so I need help with taming this baby. The breeder hand reared him. So when it was time for feeding she scooped up the birds and would feed them. So now my bird is terrified of hands and is very aggressive when he sees my hands. He instantly bites me and has drawn blood several times. When I move my hands over him he flaps his wings and chirps loudly, so I try not to but I forget. I have a perch on top of his cage and he loves to fly from that perch to where ever I am. Every time I open the cage door he instantly perches on my finger and climbs to my shoulders. I guess he starts preening me because he makes this cute little noises. He loves being on my shoulder with that said, he gets mad when I try and remove him. So I tried the method to gently pinch his beak and say no, but it kinda pushed him away from me. So definitely not going to do that anymore. His home is a flight cage with several different perches and a few toys. He was on mazuri when I got him so I will be changing it to harrisons, he loves his daily chops, and occasionally gets seeds. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Any questions would be happily answered. Thank you guys!
