All birds bite.
They usually bite out of fear and also to let you know what they do not want. Also overload biting is very common in Zons. Take your time and learn his body language and likes and dislikes.
Zons in part ocular should be stick trained but in my situation if my zon sees a stick he will re oil in horror and viciously attack the stick when it comes close. What I have done is wrap thick towel around my arm and wear a heavy jacket over it. I can pick up my Bosley from anywhere this way.
As far as him lunging at you its his way of trying to establish boundaries and let you know he's not ready for you to be too close. This is the time for building trust and bonding. This stage takes time. One of the best ways to a Zons heart is food lol
