I just bought a 'breeding pair' of GC conures.. Apparently they were successfully bred at 10 months old... they're now 1 year and 3 months old... They are unrelated.

I got them, because I love Green Cheeks - the female is a yellow sided, the male is normal, split to pinapple.. They have DNA certificates, and they are very bonded to each other...

When they transferred them into my carrier, they used gloves to catch them, and the birds were quite distressed... I kept talking to them on my way home, and they stayed at the front, where they could see me, after a little while.

I've cleaned out Shrek's old cage, and that where they are now.. They are chatting, eating and drinking. They're trying out the food, I've given them... they trying out the toys in the cage..

They seem pretty tame, even though they were in an aviary.. I wouldn't be surprised if they were hand raised..

Now I need names, and I hope someone can help me with that...???

As for names, I've kind of run out, lol! I've had so many animals, especially all the cats abandoned here over the last 2 decades it's hard to think of good ones anymore. I actually asked the members of my motorcycle forum to name my current cat. She is calico and looks like a country quilt. Someone suggested Sadie and I said yes, that is perfect!

However you might like the name I liked second best for the female. It was Trinity. I thought that was different and pretty.

I didn't name Pete or Merlin. However, one of my first pets was a little mouse named Pete. So I've kind of come full circle at this point that I have a second animal with the same name.
