So my eight year old IRN had never laid an egg but once built a nest. That was a few years ago and I no longer give her toys that are likely to encourage nesting behavior but she has found a way to shred the rope of her boing. She's sitting on it kinda weird too. Any suggestions?
She presents to her toys and other IRNs on YouTube which isn't new. She is also pretty cage and food aggressive. She's cranky but she's always cranky haha.
Contextual info: I've had her since she was 11 months old. Rescued her from an abusive basement breeder. Whatever stress she experienced in her early months resulted in her having epilepsy. It is successfully managed with medicine injected into a grape twice daily. I also have an almost four year old CAG who lives in a separate cage of course. He can be a butthead and bother her, but she also will start with him. They are always supervised if out at the same time. They also get individual time with me. Both birds are fully flighted.
