Need urgent help or suggestion

I see where they did the gram stains, short rods are worrisome, could be anaerobic bacteria (doesn't live in presence of oxygen, hard to culture, very toxic). Did you get the cultures back yet?? Are they doing a sensitivity test to better prescribe meds?? How old is this bird? do you think VitA might be an issue? lack of VitA weakens a birds immune system, ie; bacteria infection in the throat (hence the "yawning"). Mucous membranes are first to show signs of infections in this situation. has AV looked at the throat area? Any patches of white, cakey looking substance?

She is 13yrs old...ya these are the results...avian told me that it must be due to the cage...now i have got a new one for her...yes still she is yawning alot..but improving...she doesnt pant and even she is gaining her voice...and today she was not that sleepy as she is everyday...

I also feel she lacks vitA
