Here's my choice!\Harrison's Bird Foods
I feed Harrison's, supplemented by fresh healthy treats. My first, and later, my current avian vet recommended it. My bird loves the pellets now, but to get him converted, my avian vet suggested putting pellets out all day, and putting seeds (his old diet) out for two 15-minute periods a day. That would sustain him but leave him hungry enough to try new stuff. I presume the same technique could be used to get him to eat other healthy stuff, like fruits and vegetables! My guy was eating pellets in a couple of days, and now I can feed a good variety of other stuff, knowing he has the pellets as a basic. Pellets are out all day... fresh treats a few times a day. I also like Harrison's via mail because I never have to worry about out-of-date products.
The Rb has been eating them or over 30 years!

Hello, I've also been looking for a good quality pellet. I've done some reading online and narrowed it down to Harrison's bird food (pellets) or another brand called tops, tops website offer's a free sample pack for you to try. Just cover shipping.. @$4. I'm waiting on mine in the mail both pellet brands are high quality

Good for y'all for being so attentive to diet! It's sooooooooooooo critical!

So with Harrison’s I’ll need the super fine high potency mash for 6 months and then I can switch to the adult lifetime super fine
Thanks @galeriagila

For Budgies your options aren't as large as for the larger parrots, but either Harrison's, Tops, Tropican, or Zupreem are probably the best pellets available in that size. You have to be careful with Budgie pellets because there are a ton of cheap, junky pellets available for them...And actually, if money is ever an issue for anyone, as far as Budgies go anyway, Kaytee actually makes a Budgie pellet/seed mix that matches-up pretty equally with the more expensive brands; however, I'd always go with the other brands when able to do so..

I use mostly Harrison’s, but I also mix in some TOPS or Roudybush. ZuPreem is fine too, but I would avoid the colored FruitBlend pellets and stick to the “Natural” version. For Harrison’s, I use the Super Fine size for my budgies and the Fine size for my conure and cockatiel.
