I would have liked Hymie for a boy :).
But since it's a girl , I have to think differently.
I like Olive , Stella , Roxy, Olivia ...
This is killing me , I'm getting so excited I'm not getting nothing done !

I'm so excited for you!!!
Once you find out that your getting a new bird it's very hard to get anything done lol

Oh man. My ex really wants one! (we're still friends, the relationship thing just didn't work out and we still share our love of birds and have "our" birds) I always think of the Paranoid Parrot meme when I see them. I'd probably end up giving the bird this beautiful name and then refer to them as "my paranoid parrot" lol "Oh. Why good morning. How's my beautiful paranoid parrot doing this morning?" "Would my paranoid parrot like a snackie?" When we go to Bird Paradise I'm that idiot that goes "Oooooh loooooook! The paranoid parrots are out today!"

For the record I like Stella and Olive for names. Girl names are so difficult for me to come up with. I can think of a thousand names for boys and draw a total blank for girl names.

I usually get all my chores done , but today , nothing , lolol.
Of course I took care of the animals , they always come first :)
But did I do wash ? No. Did I dust or clean ? Only where the birds are , lol.
Oh well , I will catch up tomorrow :/
Of course I cleaned the area where I will be putting her cage though :p
I plan on putting her on the first floor , but I was also thinking of putting
her cage up in the bedroom. Idk...
But my other guys are on the second and the parakeets are on the landing going up to the bedrooms.
I just don't want her in the same airspace as them .
I have a big bay window on the first floor that would give her nice light.
And it's quieter down there , so maybe that will be good for her right now.
Either way she needs to be away from the others. She can observe everything
but from a distance. The dogs aren't allowed in there either , so I think that will be good for acclimating her to different noises here , she will probably hear the goats too , lolol.

Lol, that's been me today. I have about 2 loads of dishes in the sink, yet I can't bring myself to do them  I've had too much fun playing with the babies today.

"The Girl from Ipanema," sung by Astrud Giberto goes back a long way. Ipanema is a beach as well as a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. It is a Tupi word.

from wiki:
Ipanema gained fame with the start of the bossa nova sound, when its residents Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes created their ode to their neighborhood, "Girl from Ipanema." The song was written in 1962, with music by Jobim and Portuguese lyrics by de Moraes with English lyrics written later by Norman Gimbel. Its popularity has seen a resurgence with Diana Krall's song "Boy from Ipanema" released in 2008.

More than you wanted to know, I bet.
