Im feeding him some seeds and he's eating them happily still very worried. It WAS 3 free nail polish so no formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP.

Did he ingest any of it?
Not sure he just put his beak on it then he ran away and shook his head because it obviously didn't taste good. He's acting normal now..

Anna, if you got most of it off Sprite's beak, I'm pretty sure there's no harm done, because what little acetone (nail polish solvent) he may have sniffed, would have been severely diluted by the surrounding air.....and the little bit that got on his tongue would have been enough to keep him from trying more & more than probably not enough to do more than give him a bad taste.....

It might be best to make sure Sprite is caged from now on when you're doing your nails and/or toes.....

Smile.....he'll be OK.....you were fast enough to get almost all of it off.....

Thank you so much, it's been a few hours and he's fine :)

I'm so happy you took immediate action to try to remove the nail polish, how scary!

Next time you shouldn't paint your nails near him, the smell is very strong and cannot be good. My sister sometimes paints my nails(in a separate room from the birdies) and I sometimes feel light headed.
