Our little boy Nacho is taking a bit of time to warm up to us, but that's ok. We've got time. He hasn't been too interested in much of the food we've tried so far either. Blueberries, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, various kinds of rice, carrots, serrano peppers... nothing of interest for him there but PEAS! Oh, well why didn't you say so? Little booger does like his peas and I love to see him hold those while he goes to work.

Oh, and GF says the fid was making some strange sounds she hadn't heard before. She's pretty sure he's trying to talk! All he's done for me so far is bob his head and quack like a duck, which is pretty darn cute. ...And bite me which isn't so cute but we're working on that. Mostly by me not letting him get his beak on me, lol.

Making his lunchtime video debut, here's Nacho =)

He's such a cutie! I love the way quakers hold their food. Quaker chicks have been known to speak as early as six weeks.

How cool is that,Wade! :) Were those pea pods the little Nacho Dude was noshing on? Try him on sweet corn kernals? That's what my very fussy Grey a0te the first time she sampled real food and she loved them.

I love the little guys colors too ;) Trying to speak already? wow that's fantastic. Sounds like you have a little smart boy there buddy.

More pictures Wadw...more pictures!

These are just frozen peas that I thawed out. I still have a ton of foods to try on the little nipper and I'll make double sure corn doesn't get skipped =)

Nacho is one smart parrot. :) Peas are Ralph's favorite food too, both raw and cooked. The fresh sugar snap peas are what he likes best, and he prefers them removed from the pods and sliced in half (he's a fussy little green gourmet :D). He likes his corn too. It can take a while before a QP will accept a new food. It took me eight months to get Ralph to even try broccoli, but now, it's one of his favorites, so don't give up if Nacho won't eat something new right away.
