The picture might make her beak look darker than it really is. Her beak does have a powerdery grayish tint to it. However, like you mentioned, it could be something that changes with age.

From the pics of your Cockatoo, I don't see to much different than mine.

I guess, you gotta be there! She's just so much cleaner looking than my boy. I'm sure Amigo was cleaner looking when living in the house, although he does get a shower with the hose
