Hey there all!
After reluctantly accepting my first parrot into my household I have fallen in love. I just did not think I would be a bird person no real reason why just didnt think it was for me. Sonu changed my mind, well after he took his fairly short time to accumulate as he is 9 years old. Sonu is a spit fire, he expects to be greeted by whoever walks in the door and you must not dare leave him alone for 2 seconds. But despite his screams ,he does make some adorable sounds my favorite is obviously the kisses . He is my little boy despite my mom being the one to take him in, he runs to me when i walk into the room and makes his pet me sounds. Now I am in love with feathered friends I took on another one about 2 months ago. George is doing well especially with his big new cage he got upgraded to a california king cage- I had to give him more room inside his cage as he has a handicaped foot. Its been more trial and error with getting him to play and set up his cage properly for him but hes moving about more and his foot sores are looking a lot better now that he has more properly sized perches. he is already talking more to all of us but is still very wary of hands unless he is getting a treat. He will only set up onto a branch I think it feels more secure for him. The two birds have already determined their hierarchy, I was a little nervous as there is such a size difference but George automatically hunched down and tried to show his good intentions by playing with some toys. The birds will play in the same area even on the same play stand but have no real interest in always being together. For a while Sonu would fly over to George's cage. Guess that was alot. I just love my boys
