Hello Bird lovers

I've timneh african grey parrot s/he is 1 year and half old, but s/he still can't talk and ver very aggressive when I get close to it

And s/he plucking feathers for last 6 months

s/he doesn't eat anything apart of seeds, I tried to feed it carrots and apple but s/he just play with it and throw it away.

Please advice

Some parrots never talk. As for being aggressive his diet needs sorting out and that mite sort his plucking sounds like a very unhappy bird try him on a pellet diet with fruit n veg Harrison's is a good one mix it wet and crushed with his seeds he will eat the seeds and get a taste of it gradually put less seed in the mix then introduce the full pellets in with it it takes time and lot of patience

Working on that diet and a vet check are your top two priorities right now. Here are some tips on how to get her to eat better food:

More often than not, plucking is a behavioral issue but there are a lot of things that are health-related that can cause plucking. You definitely need to get her to a vet ASAP for testing! What is her environment like? Does she play with toys?? Does she have a consistent schedule? How often do you interact with her? It's important to remember that greys are stubborn and everything you try to get them to do has to be their idea or they won't do it. Here are a couple more threads for you to read to help. Good luck!!

Thanks for the information guys

About his sleep he stays with us awake unitll 12pm at the night and heis awake from 6am in the morning

He sleeps on the cage

Should I put him in the cage and cover it?

And what time should I take him to sleep?

That is not enough sleep IMHO.
Birds need to go to sleep when it's getting dark outside plus/minus.
If his/her cage is in the area where the lights stay on after 9PM, you should consider a travel cage for sleeping and take it in the dark and quiet area somewhere.
Many people put their parrots inside the cage for the night and cover it. That works too, but only if it's quiet in that room where the cage is, otherwise the bird is not sleeping there.
Parrots are like little children, they need a lot of attention, but it could be rewarding at the end. They talk only if you talk to them like you would talk to your child. And not all of them talk even if you socialize with them.
Please take your time to read and find out more about your baby and have patience to work with him/her. They are very intelligent and appreciate everything you do.

There's a problem right there that is an easy fix! Birds need 10-12 hours of darkness to help keep their circadian rhythm regular. Parrot hormones react when there are changes in their circadian rhythm and that can lead to behavioral issues such as plucking and aggression. What I do with my grey is put her in my room and cover her at about 10 every night so that she has darkness and quiet. Then she wakes up at 10 every morning ready to face the day :D. If you need to have her up by 6, I would suggest covering her and putting her in another room (if possible) any time from 6-8.

my african grey doesn't eat anything but unshelled seeds very rare he will eat anythng else i have had him about 16 years he didn't start talking until he was about 5 now he has a potty mouth...he told me he was gonna kick my butt the other day he knows karati dont' know where he got that from being i don't watch karati lol but he is also and always has been very aggressive he lets me pick him up but not pet him. he doesn't bother the other birds and he doing fine there is lots of variety of food in the cage being the cage is huge and i have a number of birds but he chooses just the seeds...I also put the birds to be sleep and cover cage no later usually then 9 it a treat if it 915 (i got home late) i cover them and my hubby and i dont' get up sometimes until 10-11 Gizmo like to hang around the cage it rare if he tries to jump off to hang with everyone. he mad at hubby so he hanging out in the corner lol.
