My sun conure has light brown poop

Urgent! My bird has light brown poop

I have had my sun conure almost two months. The food I give him is a mixture of seeds, pellets, fruits, nuts, and some dried flakey vegtables that I sprinkle on top of his food. I have read online that pellets make poop brown, but pellets aren't what he usually eats the most. I work during the day, but while being home with him he doesn't eat pellets a lot. This morning when I got him out of his cage after sleeping all night, he had a normal green dropping with some brown. After that, he pooped like a few light brown droppings before I had to leave for work. I have read so many things online. I am confused if this is normal, not sure if I should wait and see if it gets better before I take him to the vet. A couple of times when he pooped it was watery and broken up. The liquid is still clear though and there is still some white in MOST of his poop (once or twice it was brown and watery with no white)

Hi everyone,
When I got home from work yesterday, Hotrod was all back to normal. Must have just been something he ate! There is also some raisins in his food mix, probably either that or the pellets did it? Not sure, I am just happy he is okay!!

If you want a real scare, give Hotrod something like beets or black cherries! It might send you directly to the vet hospital wondering what happened to him! LOL


If his pellets don't have dyes in them, then it very well could have been the pellets!

Haha, I would have a heart attack! Hotrod is my baby and I love him so much!
