my spoiled lucy update

hello everyone, it been a bit since i hae been on asking my million questions and i just wanted to update on lucy. She has been doing fantastic thanks to all you who have helped me. she is eating very good and loves coconut shreds and oranges, and all sort of yummy fruit. she was doing good on her greens but is favoring her fruits more. she has had a couple taste of brocolli, but she is not sure yet. she loves her misty baths and loves, i mean loves to watch this budgie on utube called banco. i swear she would crawl i the laptop if she could. anyways, after things calm down more in my household i will be on to share more fun news.

Awww... glad to hear Lucy is doing well and learning to love her fresh produce Birds do tend to like fruit more (sugar) but they still need their veg too! Try fruit in the AM and veg in the PM. Keep us updated on her progress. She sounds like one very loved and spoiled budgie!

So nice to hear the good update on Lucy, and that she tries all types of healthy foods . Sometimes it will make a difference how the food is cut. If she's not sure about broccoli, try presenting it in different ways and see if it appeals to her more in a different way. Some may like it cut up teeny tiny, some might prefer biting chunks off, some might like the "flower" part of the broccoli, while others prefer the stems. It makes me so happy when I hear of the owners who really treat their budgies right, and do no less for them than any other parrot. Good for you! ...and great for Lucy! It makes me sad to hear when people regard budgies as pets for children, or "starter birds".

Awww! I adore spoiled budgies and the lucky people who spoil them! Budgies don't get nearly enough credit, they have huge personalities.

My budgies like kale and broccoli florets pushed through the bars of their cage. They prefer their chop finely shredded.

Lucy is a lucky little budgie, I'm happy to hear she's doing so well.

i will try the greens at night thats a good idea. i will also try to cutting the brocolli in small pieces. again i thank you all who have helped me in more ways then you know. i love my budgie and treat her like she is my baby. oh and spoiled let me tell ya
