we use fluvals in all our tanks (turtle and fish). we have 140 and 120 gallon turtle tanks and a 50 and 300 gallon fish tanks

Thanks for the feedback; I use fluvals as well; depending upon the species/number of turtles etc., I find that they tend to clog more quickly than does the cannister filter mentioned in the article. However, where feeding is done outside of the aquarium I've had no problems. Best, Frank
