My most recent additions :)

Topaz, a full brother to Kamehameha who I already had, is a Deep Dark Violet Turquoise

Sydney, full brother to my darling departed Scout (Some of you may remember stories of Scout) is a Turquoise who may also have Indigo in him (only time will tell) who is also Deep. I included a baby pic of Scout and Sydney together taken by the breeder :)

Chica is a Lutino hen who will be paired with Saeed when he is older. The pair will be able to produce Green, Blue, Turquoise, Lutino (bright yellow), Creamino (White with yellow brushed over making a pale yellow), and Albino (white)

Saeed is a Creamino that I hand raised this year who will be paired with Chica. He is 100% fearless.

Nohea is a half sister to my girl Blue, and she is the sweetest bird. She is my hiking buddy! She is a Deep Green. I had the privilege of weaning her (Which I am qualified to do; I DO NOT support the sale of unweaned babies to the public).

Royal is a Dark Violet boy that I also raised this season. He is exceptionally snuggly for a ringneck.

More to follow!

Ok! Introducing Kono and Chin Ho, a sister and brother that I am OVERJOYED to be adding to my flock very soon!

Kono is Deep Violet, and Chin Ho is Deep Dark Violet, and here are a bunch of fun pictures :)

This one is with flash and you can see that Chin Ho, on the left, is a bit more purple than his sister

Below, the bird closer to the bottom of the photo is their mother

And the Father

And, just for the fun of it, feathers from Violet (My Ka'iulani), Blue (My Kahili), and Green (My Pono) Indian Ringnecks :)

I just stand next to the conures right after I give them water and get a nice shower while they splash. No time for more than that ;)

Isn't it crazy how we are all parrot people, yet each person has species that make their heart pound, and other species that we don't particularly want to live with? I love it!

At this point I basically have to wear a bib into my bird room. It is becoming a problem for me ;)

Green is the natural color, Yellow and blue are also pretty common in the pet trade. I have had the amazing blessing to have a friend who is a mutation breeder, so I have access to these amazing colors :) You should google the recessive pied mutation! I dream of having some someday.

I'm on my way to pick up Chin Ho and Kono!

Awesome stuff! I dream of a violet someday. Henry has the ideal character though, underneath all that green, and a lutino may be moving in sometime soon....

I saw an ring neck baby 3 months old at pet store in the month of June ending. However, many pet shop owners informed me that ring neck will be available in Nov and Dec as currently is not a session for the same.

Can anyone help me out here to understand if it is actually a ring neck parrot or a wild one coz i wanted to purchase one which can talk batter.

Also, Would request you to please inform if a wild Indian parrot can talk and able to build a ring around his/her neck.

It is never a good idea to buy a bird based on talking ability. Even the "best" specties for talking such as amazons and greys have many MANY members who never utter a single word.

Yes, wild ringnecks get rings. Unfortunately I can tell by that question that you need to do much more research before bringing home any parrot.
