Hi, my Blu, an Indian Ringneck has been with me since 7th May and he used to be very very scared in the beginning, shaking and thrashing about if we approached him. But now he's wayy better, in fact he comes running near me when I go near his cage (and he's out on top) looking for treats but he simply WILL NOT step up. He just gets all panicky when I put my hand for step up slowly. Yesterday I put my finger near his belly which forces him to step up but he kept flying away after climbing on my hand (forcefully) so I stopped that cuz I didn't want him to feel forced and associate me with that after my month's patience. Please help! Will Blu EVER step up? I am kinda worried as he could turn wild this way and may get harder? My Alexandrine Alex is very tame. He steps up and all that. So when Alex is with me on my hand, Blu gets very curious that today he actually flew and sat on my neck but after a few seconds he flew back to his cage. Please please advice!! What should I be doing? I think Blu is about 2 and a half months old? Not sure

PS: he's sooooooooooo cute and adorable that it's hard to keep away and not try but that kinda backfires I suppose

Clip those wings and be persistent and you'll get there!

I've clipped his wings too but he still manages to fly low.. Sigh

Try to take Blu away from the cage and see how it goes.

Yeah done that too :/ flies away..
