Here's how it's done...Levi supervises from the coffeemaker, and Fred watches and talks to me from a distance.

I notice you are the one doing the actual labor .....

haha! I know the feeling ;) Ms. Beak LOVES doing dishes, and by doing dishes I meean she sits on my shoulder and leans out to watch and kibbitz while I clean them :) she loves it so much that if I dont do dishes for a couple days she gets all squawky and antcy and will generally be a brat until I take her into the kitchen and do them. Its great incentive to keep my dishes clean!

Levi prefers my shoulder as well...but it "kills" my neck. I have a neck injury from a car accident. I suppose I don't relax the muscles when he's perched there...
They both become accustomed to the routine...it's amazing how they like to "stick" to that routine!

oh bless that is sooo cute...

That is so cute! Nicky likes to "help" me change the papers on the bottom of his cage (meaning he tries to shred them to pieces and gets all the fallen seeds everywhere while I try to get it in the garbage!) Levi's coloring is beautiful by the way.

Ruby and Jade love to help in the kitchen...however, they tend to make food prep much more difficult. I'm trying to teach them to stay on the Boing that has a clear line of sight into the kitchen but they prefer the pan rack. We were so thoughtful to put a junge gym in the kitchen with all kinds of things to climb about on.

Sam and Gem like to feed the dogs with me. They love the ritual of mixing the food and calling the dogs. Then they supervise the actual chow down, talking at the dogs the whole time.

You have to love it when they "help"....

I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm not sure...Fred used to live with a Quaker named Oatmeal. Previous owners were prone to yelling, judging by what Fred has "shown" me. He tells himself off with gusto...I find it disturbing, and am discouraging it. The funny part of it all is that when Levi(my Linnie) contact calls, it's loud and very shrill. Fred yells back..."Oatmeal, SHUT UP!". It's very funny, because Levi usually quiets!
