My Grey passed away

Very sorry to hear of this. But, am very glad you are considering a rescue, or fostering. We can never replace loved ones, but, a new one makes going on a little better. Good luck.

So sorry for you may God bless your family, our pets are such a wonderful part of our lives, I had a green cheek conure and he died in July 2011, I am so sad without him, He was my little friend, I have tears in my eyes as I type this, I have been looking to adopt a african grey to help with my sadness. I just love parrots so much. Hope you find another bird to help fill your heart with love

There are many birds out there who need love and a good home. Hang in there, folks, and you will find a new feathered friend to help heal your hearts.

HI there
Our lovely African Grey Skye passed away on 1st March, he had contracted Aspergillosis a fungal disease. He was on medication, but its very rare that they recover, so we lost him. The house is so quiet, he ruled the roost, even the 4 dogs were scared of him !

We have always had a parrot, so are going to get another one, either an Amazon or Hahns but would look at rehoming charities first but dont know of any, can anyone help?
I just saw your post. I am sad for you but now that you have had a little time to heal, I'm sure you can enjoy the memories. My belated sympathy.

I lost my CAG of 17 years about the same time. I was lucky enough to find a male CAG who had just arrived at a rescue organization who, as it turned out, was just the right little guy to help with the healing. While I will never forget my sweet little Alex, she's gone and I can't change that. But Sydney has come into my life and brightens every day... and perhaps I appreciate my fids just a little bit more now...

Animals come into our lives to teach us how to love unconditionally, they leave us to teach us how to lose with dignity. Im so sorry you lost your feathered friend.
