My first Sun Conure Frank 1st day

Owner had him for almost 2 years and she named it Frank, so I'm just gonna keep the name.... She still trying to adjust to my new place.... He's hand fed.... he bite me when i was trying to tel lhim to step up, he always go for my finger... but what will i do is back my hand and do it again... but once i see he raise he's feet... thats the sigh that he will step up and he will be ok from there... will just bite my finger really gently.... but he's first bite on me was little hard....

Frank is beautiful! I'm glad you decided to go and meet him Just take it slow and easy with him and gain his trust, and you will do fine with him

Yea thanks... if i try to give him seed by hand, he will take it just fine.... owner sid she only spend time like an hour everyday and that just talking and sometime not holder him.... thats probably the reason he's not fully socialized.... since he's taking food n my hand i have a feeling that it won't take long for him to fully trust me....

I'm planning to buy a clicker so when i try to tell him to step up and he does it, ill click it then give him treats....

also is what I'm doing right? every time i will try to touch him and he goes like a bite for my hand... i pull my hands right away.... should i let him bite my finger?

What a beauty! Often a new bird will 'test' the finger perch to see just how steady that perch is. It could be the original owner might have been a bit nervous and pulled the finger back.

2nd day and he finally came out but still chasing my finger and intend to bite it.... he went on the top of he's cage and saw the water then took a bath
