My beloved conure just died... :(

My conure Apple, just died after taking a shower with me. I have had him for 3 months. We've taken showers together before a couple times. Today after shower I dried him roughly with a towel and let him dry out in the cage naturally as always. He started looking weird and breathed heavily. Gradually he couldn't stand anymore and laid down on the bottom of the cage. He then flapped around and threw up some yellow liquid and his heart stopped forever.

It hurts so bad he was such a sweetheart. I haven't cried for the past so many years but this time I just couldn't help and cried like a baby. I don't know what I did wrong. I just don't know.

In my very humble opinion there are few things more heartbreaking than watching the life drain away from a precious little bird - I cry rivers of tears whenever it happens to me too. I’m so very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my first conure, Lego to an accident. It broke my heart. I know how much it hurts. Sorry.

OMG< so very sorry you lost Apple. I understand completely andI bawled like a baby whenI lost our little Maxie. Same thing , he just......went. Even tho he was with you for 3 months, he had your heart.

That is heart-breaking and I can't imagine your pain right now...I would lose it...

This is not intended to be insensitive, but it could come off that way---have you considered running a necroscopy to determine the cause of death?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I wanted to suggest you take your other conure to the vet just in case it was an illness.
