MY baby is gone

Hi all. My Rock Pebbler of 10 years passed away last week and my wife and I are devastated. It's just us 2 in an apartment which feels so empty right now. My wife cries everyday and I'm not sure what to do next. We want another companion but feel like we're being disloyal to our Midori who passed. Opinions? Thanks

You are not being disloyal to your beloved Midori by wanting to take on another! Your sweetheart would not want these feelings of guilt or emptiness for you, and would want another to have the same kind of cherished life in a loving home. I'm so sorry for your loss, unfortunately I know how painful it is, as do so many others here. There's another sweet little soul out there who needs to be loved by you and your wife and I hope you find each other soon. My deepest condolences for the loss of Midori and my hugest hugs go out to both of you, it's truly one of the hardest things to bear

So sorry your baby's gone! I feel your pain. I've lost birds and I cry each time. I never get used to having one of my babies die.
You have a lot of love to give a lucky bird so give yourself some time but please fill that void with another feathered friend who needs you. Midori would want that for you and the next bird you share your home with.
