That is odd, especially because the same email has worked for other members who are interested. I will forward the OP your phone number you sent me. :)

I believe the error message said something about Gmail rejecting anything sent from Yahoo.com email addresses (like mine). Gmail likes to block entire domains from time to time.

Just an update that Christian is in his new travel cage, riding to his new home with my neighbor. Any animal would be lucky to go home with Sunny, so Christian is in a good place.

[And in an odd but wonderful turn of events, I came home with a puppy, but that is another story for another day].

WOOT WOOT WOOT! I am SO very happy for your neighbor! THRILLED to see/hear that this worked out!!! :D YIPPEE. I love happy endings!!

Now please do share your puppy story, ok???? CONGRATS on your new family member! :D

OK Wendy, below is my Facebook explanation of what happened:

We [drove 3+ hours one-way] to pick up a parrot for my neighbor.

We found ourselves on the top of a mountain, with many mastiff type dogs in kennels around the house. I identified 1 as a Cane Corso [said that because my daughter's friend does Corso rescue]. This sweet puppy met us in the driveway. Turns out the woman with the parrot did rescue & specialized in bully breeds. She [the puppy, not the woman] was available. I looked into her eyes. The rest is history. [Oh. And I called Bill & said, "Can I bring home a puppy?"]

I'm looking for a companion or someone who needs a companion. What's the harm in me adopting a bird just because it's a bird? I grew up around them and will accept and love them for whatever their personality may be. I have no reason to be picky. I want to give a bird a family who loves them.

Although I understand what you're saying, it's always a good idea to have some sort of idea what general characteristics of the different species might be, rather than just wanting "a bird" with no specific direction. The BT Macaw, Sun Conure, and Grey are so vastly different that IMHO, the responsible thing to do would be to take some time to research different species, and see what might be a better fit into your lifestyle and home, regardless whether you grew up with birds or not.

Also, keep in mind, these posts you've seen in the Adoptions section are pretty old, and in all the cases, the OP hasn't been on the forum for many months. The birds are likely not available any longer. You can find post dates in the upper left corner of each post. Good luck :).
