Moving to a New Country

OK, so I am currently a New Zealand girl and proud of it. My husband and I love this country and are proud of what we have achieved so far. We rent a house (with grass!), I'm qualified and he is nearly finished his degree.

We did alot of googling ebaying and realestate.com.auing today, and have decided that it is very possible that we may move to Aussie, even likely.

The NZ - > Aussie move isn't as complicated as some, being kiwis we dont need aussie visas etc. But still.......................

Scary!

Any advice from others who've done a long distance move before?

I have done two long distance moves and have a third one coming up as soon as possible. The first two have been within Canada, but coast to coast, literally Atlantic ocean to Pacific Ocean. The next one will be from Canada to The US (California). So, don't know if I can help, but i have done and will do these moves with pets (only this next one with birds though).

Firstly, don't worry I deleted the other two posts.

Now good luck with the move, when will you be moving. Is there any problems taking the fids into Oz. Don't envy you on this one, I hate moving but have only done it inside the UK for the last few years.

I dont even know where to start.
What paperwork do we need?
Which websites are reccomended for job hunting/homes/fid stuff/cars?
How do I have my money her and then end up over there with money in an Aussie bank account?
Is it reasonable to to find jobs in Perth, and a home in Perth, and have it a simple commute to one from the other if they are in the same city?

Thats a start, I'm at no order muck stage...*

ok i'm no help either... i've never move din my life... but my dad moved from the UK to here a while back.... lol i could ask him... since i want to move to Australia anyway.

Is there a way you could look on line for papers that you could order for Jobs/homes etc.

I have an Aunt who moved from the UK to NZ about 20 years ago, they had newspapers sent to them and took it from there. They were lucky that they had someone out there looking for jobs houses etc. Money wise talk to your bank I'm sure they'll be able to help you out. As I said I'm not sure how things work out there just a few suggestions.
