It was produced by Jacques Perrin in 2001 with very little narration, except by the birds themselves. I stumbled on it back in March on the Encore Channel, and just now played it on the dvr for the kids. Chewbaca took right to it, and Greybeard is listening.

At one hour in, it shows Hyacinths and (Greenwing?) macaws flying in the Amazon. It shows a small open boat full of cages with local wildlife, and a Hyacinth who opens his cage and flies away.

Sorry, I don't know where to find it, except maybe set your DVR to watch for it, and check Netflaxe.

The photography is stunning. There were apparently about 20 photographers from all over the world contributing. Yes, there is some death in it.
