Okay, so do you ever notice something small in the movie that just isn't right? Like an accidental change in position, a boom mike, etc. Since we have been shopping for birds and doing a lot of reading online about birds, my kids have been seeing pictures of birds every day for a while now, so their favorite movie right now is Rio. Its a good movie, but I noticed something the other day. Towards the end of the movie, the smugglers get the birds on the plane and begin to head down the runway. Linda is driving towards them on a float, and the main smuggler say "is that a float?". Then he tells the guy flying the plane to pull up! The guy pulls back on the yolk (which is the correct way) and the movie cuts to the ailerons to show the flaps moving in a direction to bring the plane up. EXCEPT! The ailerons move downwards which anyone that knows the basics of avionics knows that that will point the plane DOWN! Basically, the plane should have never left the runway!

I love catching stuff like this. What have you guys noticed in movies?

For bird-related things, how about Mary Poppins? When she sings "A Spoon Full of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down", they show robins outside the window "Feathering his nest".

Both birds are male, as I knew even as a little kid, since the males have the bright colors and the females are drab. But, it turns out that the particular species shown is not indiginios there. So in London they have a pair of gay robins from California, presumably getting ready to adopt.
