- i am the mom of three parrots:
Dorothy- African grey (cag)
Bowie- blue and gold macaw
Nellie- hyacinth macaw
Reggie- hyacinth macaw
Marnie- white bellied caique
I have been having a hard time getting Moses to eat his dry food & veggies/fruits. Tonight I decided to just let him stand on the island and eat, I stood in the kitchen and watched amazed that he didn't do his usual (which is throwing everything out of his bowl and on the floor!) As long as I stood and watched him he happily tried all the veggies and fruit in the bowl! I hope this is a phase! LOL
I am so glad that he is trying out his healthy foods! He has only been here one week and I am totally in love with this big guy! It is sooooooo different having a macaw from a cag. He is a much bigger clown. My cag Dorothy has become much more chatty since he has come as well as wanting me to rub her head 24 hours a day! She is a little jealous!
