It's so much fun to watch him play! So, so different than my grey Dorothy!

My dog Pia seriously does not know what to make out of him! Every time he is playing with me on the floor, she brings over one of her toys!

wharf rat, when do they stop growing? He is 4 mos. tomorrow.

Yes, that is Pia, she has a "fuzzy growth" on her head! she looks like a troll doll!

LOL 4 mo. old, I'm guessing 2/3 of adult size. that is a guess but he WILL get bigger!

Excellent pics! Moses is a beautiful and lucky Macaw and you're a lucky Macaw parent :) It's easy to see he's got a tremendously wonderful personality.

Salsa has even gotten bigger since I got him in June - and he's 4 years old! Granted, Salsa's "bigger" is his outward dimension ;) The bird LOVES to eat! He weighed 1490g (empty) when I got him... he now weighs 1540g (empty). And full, he now weighs 1570 to 1590! Salsa is a bit of a glutton :D

Awww. Great Pics. He has that look of wonder in his face. So fun, I love when they play like there is nothing else going on around them. Best wishes for loads of fun and a long happy healthy future together.

Oh he looks SO absolutely pleased with himself. Love that the dog tries to interact with him. Piggybackrides, anyone? Lol

Ha! Piggy back rides, I think Pia would either faint or fall over from the weight! It is very cute, Moses tried to play with her yesterday and came walking toward her quickly, she ran away. Meanwhile the "queen" of the castle our very small, very chubby chihuahua just lays on her pillow and shakes her head. Ruby our chihuahua is a very, very sweet little dog but far too dignified to join in!
So far I cannot believe how well Moses is fitting in to our home! I am so in love with this big guy! I was worried about Dorothy getting upset however so far, so good. I am just trying to figure out how to go about allowing them both on the tree at the same time. I am such a nervous nellie!

I am hoping one of you jumps in here, I would love to hear how you went about introducing your macaw to smaller birds. I have had them both on the tree, but I'm too scared to walk away. So I just stand over the two of them, they are both looking at me like "what?"

Well, I personally can't be of much help because mine are all larger birds and they don't get along very well most of the time. I'm still working on that issue

While I'm sure some can get away with it, not in this house. They all get their own free time by breed. I mostly do Zon's in the office and GW's in the living/cage area. The Hahn's only comes out when all the rest are caged, that includes office and living areas. The Hahn's has absolutely NO fear of the bigger birds and it just ain't worth the risk, nor do I just want to "hover" over the little one while the bigger ones are out. It can be done, but in the long run not worth the risk to me.

Lovely pictures!! Your macaw is looking so happy!

OMG YOUR DOG IS SO CUTE!!! hehe
