So sweet !!! How old is she ?

She is a year old. We've only had her a week though.

In case anyone is wondering why her eyes are closed it's because I'm obsessed with taking pics while she sleeps. I told her she doesn't sleep like a normal bird, but she doesn't seem to mind.

I honestly do not think it would make a difference whether Zoe is a boy or girl

Zoe is 100% CUTENESS

Beautiful pic's

Thanks for sharing

I'm going to be sad if she turns out to be a boy.

Why would you be sad? Cute and loving is cute and loving no matter the gender

I'd be sad Joe because Karen would change the name and I like Zoe :)

OH, TRUST ME... THAT HAPPENED MANY YEARS AGO, BEFORE THIS PARTICULAR BTM EVER HATCHED...

DID I MENTION THAT THESE GUYS AND THE RFM'S ARE PRETTY MUCH, ALL LIKE THIS?! (AT LEAST IF NO ONE DOES SOMETHING STUPID AND MESSES THEM UP...)

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that conures are basically just shrunken macaws. So if you do well with conures, you'll probably do well with a mac.

(I'm pretty sure I mentioned that I can be quite evil at times... )

Just remember how attention oriented they are before you get one! DO NOT TEACH IT TO ATTENTION SCREAM! That's the number one no-no with these little guys!

GREAT PICS! AND THESE GO A LONG WAY TOWARD DISPELLING THE MYTH OF THE FEATHERED BUZZ SAW... (unless of course, Zoe snores!)

Can you just imagine what this bird will be like once you have had a chance to work with her for a year or two?! IF THIS IS THE BOND AFTER A WEEK...

OMG!!! That's pretty special!

Don't worry, baby greenwings can be just as cuddly...

You'll see! Less roll-ey poll-ey, more greenwing hugs...

Okay, now you're just showing off! And I don't blame you a bit! Those photos are darling, every single one! What a little sweetheart you have there! Thank you for sharing and making all of us that have ever wanted a macaw, drool with envy.

OMG!!! That's pretty special!

We've ordered an aviator harness that should have been here by now, but got sent to Tennessee instead of Texas. As soon as it comes in we're going to start taking her out. We've been trying to teach her recall, but so far she comes when she feels like it :)

Joe, I've played with plenty of greenwings. Before I met Zoe I would have said they are my favorite mac. Picking up GW by the beak is a very fun game.

My four favorite big macs have always been Hyacinths, Greenwings, Red Fronts, and Blue Throats...

But any mush mac will do.

Getting her out and about will only increase that bond exponentially.

You realize a year or two from now, I'm going to be asking that same question all over again. It'll be interesting to see how your perspective changes...

"Bonded" works both ways...

Do us all a favor, and a year or so from now, post another set like this, so we can dispel the myth of the "terrible twos." (Uhh... that would be human babies! Not macaws.)
