So it turns out they're brother and sister and have been staying in the same cage together since they were born. The previous owner had them both since they were five months old and they're now four and a half. This said, should I separate them at all? My first thought is to get another cage after they've settled in, but if they're used to it, I don't know.

Also, is inter-breeding a problem with greys? I have heard horror stories about the offspring so I don't want to find eggs in their cage one day.

From everything I have read and seen, you should have a separate cage for each bird. You can still put them next to each other so that they are together.

I've never heard of interbreeding either, but life in the wild is much different than our artificial environment. Seperate cages definitely. They make some nice large cages with a center divider which you can take out. I'm pleased with ours. Bindi and Babu can "beak each other" through the divider yet have their own space.
