I was standing at the kitchen counter cutting veggies for dinner and heard Odin flying to me. He landed on my shoulder and there was a crackling, I asked him what he had and reached to get it, I grabbed it and he took off and we played tug of war while he was in mid air, I let go so he didn't crash and he flew over to the perch. He had gotten into my bag, it was free sample from the store earlier in the day.

no I took it away before he could... didn't think he needed salted carmel popcorn, he sure wanted it though

Im glad he let you take it, does he often fight with you about taking things away? Mango has gotten really good with us but he will still fight us over food. He tolerates everything else, but salty things are his greatest weakness. He would never come over to me with it, he gets real quiet and tries to sneak away with things. If I try to take something away that he isnt suppose to have, he is ready to go to town on my fingers. The two really painful bites Ive had have been from me trying to retrieve a piece of ham he snuck off the counter, and a cheesy he found in the couch. Of course I take bad food away anyways, but we always have a standoff while I work up the nerve to stick my hands into the grinder. Afterward he wont talk to me for quite some time. Very food motivated.

He is good about me taking things away, he'll tug on it but doesn't get nippy

so far my impression of the greys has been that they are relatively gentle and sensitive giants. I have no experience, but the owners on this site make them look so wonderful. A bird that size with Mango's attitude would be very intimidating!

Odin is great, if I'm giving him scritches or messing with a pin feather and he gets sick of it he'll turn his head around and grab my finger but he doesn't bite. He has bit me twice but I surprised him when I reached to get him off my shoulder
