We had another thunderstorm here again last night
This one was honestly a horrendous storm.
The thunder and lightening was so loud, could not hear each other talking.

Mishka was in his sleep cage, in my bedroom. I went to check up on him.
Walked in quietly (LoL) Mishka was so scared he was pacing up and down the bars, each time thunder or lightening struck.

I took him out, and sat on my bed with him. He quickly raced up to my tummy, and half hid under my arm. I was giving him head scratches and stroking his tail, he loved it. It really calmed him down.

We sat there for over half an hour, loving each other.

Funniest thing, he NEVER uttered one word.

Hey !!!!! what about me
I think I was more scared than he was

AAAW. Didn't your patting and stroking Mishka have a calming effect? ;) Poor Mishka! I can relate...I'm not fond of thunderstorms either. I wish I could hide under my bed along with my dogs, but I think someone would have me admitted then. :54:

It kinda makes me wonder if birds in the wild are afraid of thunderstorms as well. can,t say I like them myself:)

I have seen wild birds in a storm, believe me they were petrified.
This morning we found one dead, not sure how the dove died though.

Sometimes storms scare me too, when they are really bad like that. Glad you could comfort each other! :)

Awww, at least you had some cute birdy snuggles to get you through.

Poor Babies.... I bet y'all were really scared... you were there for Mishka and he was there for you..... that is why no words were needed...
