Mishka & Ringo

Hi All

It's been quite a while since I last posted, hectic this end, been ill.
On leave for two weeks now so will post.

Mishka and Ringo are still totally in love !!!!!!
They show affection towards each other that is absolutely unreal.

When taking Mishka out his night cage, Ringo is there to greet him, sniffing away at Mishka's beak, guess that''s his way of kissing him.

This morning when showering Mishka Ringo jumped into the bath at sat at the other end just watching. Mishka sure got excited and began whistling.

Mishka calls for Ringo if he does not see him for 5 minutes. Then Ringo (if awake) runs into the lounge near Mishka's cage, meeowing then Mishka starts meowing as well. Guess they are communicating.

They play together at night when Mishka is on his playpen, looks so cute.
Ringo follows Mishka from behind, then later they swop.

Ringo has found a new spot to sleep ON MISHKA'S CAGE.

Mishka does not mind at all, and lets Ringo sleep peacefully. One day Ringo's tail had fallen through the bars of the cage when he slept. Mishka politely began to preen his tail, and Ringo slept throughout the preening.

When we got Ringo in December he weighed 700grams, boy how he has grown. He now weighs just over 4 kilograms.

Funniest thing ever when cleaning Mishka keeps saying "MOVE RINGO MOVE"

They are such good friends, and have a wonderful bond

Mishka is so happy to have a friend to talk to all day

I'm glad your feeling better!!!!!! Ringo and Mishka is still as cute as ever!!! I had to separate "Pearl" our female cat from the boys as she started peeing on my bed and I think it's because the boys attacks her too much. Plus I got tired of washing sheets and such in the middle of the night and cleaning the pee stain as cat urine is super strong and hard to rid. After lots of vinegar solutions I got it out. So now Pearl is around the birds on a daily basis and she does real good with the birds. She doesn't bother them at all, she runs if Isis screams, Isis is the new rescued Sun Conure. She's been around the birds for over a month now, she's been around them before but this one is a more permanent thing. I still do shut the bird room door if I'm not around cause I don't know what she will do since she grew up outside. Hope all is well!!!!

I think Mishka is adorable. You hear of all kinds of different animal bonding all the time. I just saw where a deer and a dog bonded. I hope for both their sakes you are still supervising them. You just never know when one may turn on the other. My pug and Rottweiler got along soooo well and one day my little pug just turned and started attacking my rottie. Of course he only took it for so long then he defended himself. She got hurt. We always had to watch after that. It was so weird. They are both so sweet and beautiful I would hate to see something happen. When it does it's in a blink of the eye. You are very lucky to have such a beautiful bird and an adorable kitty[emoji2]

I had similar like bond between my cockatoo and green cheek conure. When my conure flew away, my cockatoo was quiet for weeks. We then bought a cockatiel but the bond was not as loving as between my conure and cockatoo(they shared the same cage)

It is the cutest to hear Mishka calling Ringo then to see and hear how they interact. Will soon video them together.

Yesterday Ringo went to get groomed to get his coat cut and his nails trimmed.
It is summer now and his coat is way to long and thick.
His nails need an urgent trim as well.

Mishka missed him so much and kept asking for him. He was gone for 5 hours.

They are still best of friends, and can't live without each other.

Ringo still continues to watch over Mishka as he sleeps and "checks" on him often during the night.

They love spending time together, Ringo on top of Mishka's cage and boy do they play. When Ringo falls asleep on the cage, with his tail hanging through Mishka begins preening his tail. Ringo loves being pampered.

I missed this thread until now. Aw, those two sure are sweet together. Definitely an unusual level of bonding between the two species. I can tell it's something very special. Ringo looks great with his new haircut! Very cute.

Funny how Mishka asks where has Ringo gone LOL! It's adorable that an animal calls another animal by his name, and in Mishka's case, knows how to speak cognitively.
