Mishka just adores being photographed. I am amazed how close he lets me come with the camera.

Adorable, I love the first pic. I would blow that up and frame it and hang it on my wall. Mishka is very photogenic!

Nice pix. Greybeard jabbers away, but the moment I train the camera on him, he shuts up. He won't talk around strangers, either.

Believe me it was not easy getting Mishka used to the camera.
Try leaving the camera near him, where he can see it, but do not record at all. Leave it standing there for days even weeks. Each time you are near the cage, take the camera, show it to Greybeard. Let him get familiar with what you have in your hands. Take fake pic's and tell him to pose, and to smile (I know is sounds stupid) and when he does, praise him, telling him what a good boy he is.

It must have taken me about a year and a half to get him used to the camera. There were many times I felt like giving up, but we must practice what we preach........ PRESERVER and is honestly does work.
When he won an International Bird Talking Competition last year, we had many interviews, with lots of camera's, Mishka was absolutely fantastic, just sitting there and posing. He was a bit afraid of the lights, I must admit, but got used to them pretty quickly.

Mishka will talk in front of strangers at first. If he gets to know them, soon enough he will talk to me in front of them, but not directly to them.

Another guest at a hotel in Merrill, Wis., took pix, then emailed me this with photoshopped background.

He's very photogenic indeed!

For some reason, the only electronic of mine Pixel doesn't try to eat is my camera. She totally ignores it... now my cellphone...
