I had to beg and plead with the building manager to leave them alone because their previous nest was destroyed by the maintenance guy :(

Sorry the pics aren't great, I didn't want to disturb them too much.

Indian Mynahs are a pest species in Australia, universally hated. Thankfully we don't have them in Western Australia.

...I think we should all leave mother nature alone.

well done Michelle!!!....I don't see any harm in leaving them do you?

No, indeed not, Beth! :) They're actually very cute and sooo protective of that nest! I love the way daddy perches at the end of the balcony, surveying the land and if I spend to much time, he flies over to come tweet at me!

They don't cause any damage and people just 'hate' them because they are all quite numerous, have some bird lice (like all wild birds do) and are veeery messy poopers! LOL!! I imagine if one has a veg garden, they could be problematic but here at the office, they are harmless.

They are really cute up there. I can't see why they'd be bothering anyone either. Good for you for getting them the chance to bring up their babies.

I love Mynahs:) So happy you were able to convince them to leave their nest alone.
