Today, Kyleigh and I had the privilege to bring these two twins an early Christmas present. Their mother reached out to me via Facebook and told me her boys asked for a blue and gold macaw for Christmas. Of course that is a big Christmas present for 8 year olds, so we were able to bring them the next best thing. These kids were absolutely wonderful and one of them wants to be a parrot trainer as an adult. Love it! Enjoy the pictures and video!

'Tis the season to be jolly macawlalalalalala!

How wonderful! I just love how your doing so many wonderful things with Kyleigh. She is such a sociable bird and parrots just eat this kind of attention up. What a smart mom too asking you to share your beautiful girl for an afternoon so her boys got to have all the fun with none of the work and responsibility;)

Thanks so much! Just when I think kyleigh is at her limits, she surprises me even more. It's great that she is flighted so when she does get uncomfortable she just flies to me lol.

OMG, Stephen, you just floored me! In THE best way possible!!

PHENOMENAL! That was SO sweet of you. SO very special. Those boys will never forget this, and will most likely talk about it forever. :D

Both you and Kyleigh did better than great!!!! This was HUUUUGE. :smile015:

Thanks folks! It always feels good to put yourself aside and do something for other people. Even better when your bird is involved.

Wow, I SOOO love what you did for those boys! You may have created 2 more people that will jump into the joy of parronthood when they're older.

This is just all kind of fabulous!

Wow! I love this post! This is awesome:)

That was great Stephen! You've really done an A++ job with her in the short time you've had her. Most impressive! Keep up the good work :).

Stephen I really think you've found your calling. :)

You two make a great team and I swear I'm nearly in tears seeing how happy you made this family!

So very much in the holiday spirit, Stephen! What a wonderful thing you and Kyleigh did for those children!

How long did you stay? And was Kyleigh completely copacetic the whole time?

Thanks again family. =)
I can't help but think how awesome it would be to take birds to schools and not only educate kids, but share my story and talk to them. I am really wanting to look into a career in animal behavior and training. I'm only 27 so Lord willing I've got plenty of time.

Is that crazy/weird/overboard?

I know what you mean Stephen… I'm at that point in my life too where I'm constantly rethinking what I'm doing with my life, and starting to think about ways to keep my passions involved with what I do.

Wonderful things you are doing with your birds. You seem to just be a natural.

Have a very merry christmas.
