The following qualifications are required :
A "Bird Brain"
Know the "Birdiebet" fluently
Must be 100% "Bird Crazy"

I should qualify. I:
have reached into my purse for a tissue and pulled out a bird wipe.
can speak more coherently to parrot nutrition than proper feeding of teenagers.
have a "parrot store " option in my computerized shopping program on my phone
have been seen dithering at the fresh fruit stand of local farmers market trying to decide what would hold up best skewered into a fruit kabob.
Have my local parrot rescue shelter bookmarked right next to the bookmark for UNHCR.
been known to tell stories about my birds as often as bragging about my kids (or so the kids complain)

With those qualifications Barbara I'd say you rank right up there at the top among the candidates for Chief :09:

You are perfect for the department, I am worried about the "Birdiebet"

9Okay, okay. I admit to being weak in birdabet. Thing is I have to speak other languages for work and I have been careless on my command of the birdabet. That said, I am sure I could learn given time. Does it count that I catch myself clicking under my breath in an exact imitation of a disgusted conure when standing under the big board at Frankfurt and reading the westbound flight delays?

I'm glad all is okay...take your time and we'll see you again on a regular basis soon.

Trip was to Russia (St. Petersburg ) and then took train down to Riga via Estonia for meeting in Jurmala. From there to Copenhagen for meeting then was to fly to Washington then home. All that went fine if you don't count the tornado in jurmala. But I "cleverly " flew to Frankfurt to get a better conection to BTW and now am stranded as the flight is delayed so much as to be useless. Now I am in line to get flight through Chicago (argh) and home. Last flight no seats ...standby.
