Meett Gabby

Ultimatum?? "I'll take him..and keep quiet"..or... " If you don't let me take him,I'll go blab to the press...that wont do your construction business any good" ehhhh...I dunno about that

Geez there has to be an easier solution here..Ya if his secretary has any heart and you can talk to her...even tell her she can come visit Gabby if she'd like..If she is any kind of real "person" and sees how much Gabby means to you...she can talk to the bossman and convince him that Gabby is better off with you.

You have a very kind and large heart..and may God bless you for it :40:

So I reported the owner.
The secretary says she knows how much I care for gabby. But her hands are tied...he won't give the bird up,and she's not sure why. She says I should have gabby,,I'm the only one besides her that actually feeds the bird, but I'm the only one after over twenty years the bird will step up and let me pet him...not all the time .
Thanks for all the support. Fingers crossed.

Just my two cents but it sounds like you have the heart to care for Gabby but not the financial means. You may want to wait to get yourself back on your feet before taking on another family member. Put your energy into finding her a good forever home.

Thanks for the input kysoti but I'm ok. If the owner of gabby told me tomorrow I could have him that would just mean I go without for a little bit. I work at a new job 40 plus hours a week.just got a newer vehicle ..bigger so I can help more animals lol and I have a fiancé that works way more hours than most. So in the beginning it was tough, but now things are good. As for gabby...he's way more playful with me every day.

Here's to hoping sweetheart. Maybe he has some kind of attachment to the bird himself, possibly was purchased for someone he cared about and serves as a memory he can't just give away. Pride is also a demon for a reason, it controls people's rational thinking into selfish actions; partnered with Greed.

Chin up, stay strong, do what you can.

Maybe offer to buy the bird in installments???
