Meet Shaymus!

The first time I was footed was at a rescue by a freshprairie falcon. There was a bit of blood. The gentleman who was supervising me was quite amused. In a very calm voice I said "this isn't fun anymore". Apparently everybody else either screamed or cried .

Congratolations Ashley! When I have more time I will read the whole thread, but sounds like things are going great! Yay! :)

hah! sounds painful!I always stay calm, but then, being footed doesn't hurt as bad as being bitten by a large parrot O.O My friends Harris hawks have needle points!!! I might change my mind if she ever grabs me

Things have been doing a lot better lately, in life in general is starting to look up!

Glad to hear it! ;)

Fascinating stuff, I'll look forward to hearing more. I've always loved wild birds of prey, but never had the lifestyle that would allow me to get involved in falconry. Well, plus I couldn't cope with the pigeon thing!
