Meet my new Meyer's Parrot!

Just got her a couple of days ago. She is about five months old, a little shy but doing great! Will eat all sorts of fruit and veggies and looking forward to bonding with her. This is my first parrot and am ready for the adventure!

I haven't named her yet, right now I'm thinking Eve (like Adam & Eve, first thing she ate from me was apple), Whiskey (For Wisconsin, and the Packers who won the Super Bowl the day I got her), or Zulu (African sounding, and aviation related).

eve sounds fab an major awww so cute marks for your little girl i like short sounding names lol as i've re-named mine, nut! lol cos she's a nutty bird

i call her nut, but my partner and son call her angel her given name, no confusion from her lol she just goes to who she wants too

Beautiful bird! How big do they get? I have to put my vote in for Zulu...it seems to fit her

I believe that they are the smallest of the Poicephalus, getting to be about 8-9 inches, and weighing between 90-120 grams.
