3 little busy Budgies
Meet Boomer! She was at the animal shelter so I decided to pick her up! They think she's 3, and she lays eggs like crazy I am told so I will try and curb that behavior. Apparently the old owner works there so she told me Boomer has always been a biter so I am going to try and stop that too. She seems sweet and curious, and since bringing her home she hasn't gone after our fingers like she did at the animal shelter. Isn't she super pretty?!

Anyone know what type of lovebird she is?

and they told me she is not hand tame. I was warned that I need long sleeves and she will latch onto any skin. But she's very sweet and shows enormous curiosity. She steps up (sometimes) and I am able to hold her in my palm no nibbles. She just needed the right home I guess! I'm so proud of her so far. Now, to stop the egg laying.... I want to take out her coconut home cause she uses it as a nest, but with the stress of rehoming should I leave it in there for comfort while she adjusts or should I remove it immediately?

New home, new start I guess, can always double back if it causes problems. Plenty of other things to occupy her time will work wonders. Take care with the stroking as she is prone to laying, less encouragement the better. How interested in your flock is she?

She is lovely btw.

What a lovely "lovie" Boomer is :D Looks exactly like the photo Plum supplied,so my vote is that what Boomer is. Either the shelter had the wrong bird in mind,or your an excellent parront YUM ;) or Boomer really grooves on you already lol.

When I see photo's of Love birds,my mind always drifts off to Alfred Hitchcocks movie....The Birds! lol
