Max's Maiden Flight!

It seems that Max has been molting forever! He was over-clipped by his previous family, so this molt has been very welcome. And he's wanted to fly so badly. It's kind of sad to watch him flap his little heart out and sink to the floor.

I've been worried because it seems that his flight feathers are coming in so slowly, but tonight he flew about 12 feet with a turn! He worked so hard! We were so proud of him. He got a big walnut as a reward.
