I am Wayne, this is Louie, and we live in Michigan. He is 22 years old, and has been with me since he hatched....I hand raised him.
Many years ago I bred African Greys. I have no genuine interest in breeding Greys again but would like to pair him largely for companionship. He has spent time with other Greys, but has been single for several years.
We are searching for a mature DNA sexed female. No shipping, if you have the right female, I am willing to drive around 300 miles or four hours max to pick-up. Please contact us if you have a girl that would like to spend the rest of her life with us?
I am not looking for a free bird (but would be happy to offer your free bird an awesome future), or would be happy to provide a reasonable "rehoming" fee.
The two will be kept in a divided cage for an extended period to determine compatibility, but ultimately will be kept in an aviary with a heated indoor flight, and outdoor flight.
If your bird is not compatible with mine, then she will be kept long term regardless, as my plan is to accumulate a flock of approximately 12. The outdoor aviary being built is about the size of a tennis court....and the inside flight can easily accommodate a dozen Greys.
This is what I am building for retirement.....I figure it will keep me off the streets and out of trouble.
