mating pair

I have just got a mating pair of conures 1 is a green cheek female the other is a cinnamon conure I was told they were about 3 years old .
Can these conures mate? I am not sure we have put a nesting box in but they are not mating at all

Welcome to the forum.

Did you purchase them as a proven pair? Did the previous owner provide you with their history, how many clutches they had and how many were reared successfully?

If the answer is no, then there is NO guarantee you even have a compatible male and female there.

Additionally, if you just recently acquired these, AND they are a proven pair, please give them some time to get used to their new environment. There is no way of telling how long this will take. Some birds adjust quicker than others. Patience...is the name of the game.

Cinnamon is a mutation in green cheeks, much like there are yellow, black and "chocolate" labrador retrievers.

Do you plan on breeding them? Do you have experience hand raising chicks? And do you have the necessary items to hand raise chicks?
