Mating Behavior?

So today I was laying down playing with Phoebe and she was being her cuddly little self, rolling over and pretend regurgitating. She did something she hasn't done before. She turned away from me, lifted her tail and shoved her butt against me and started kinda shaking back and forth. I immediately sat up and pushed her away and she tried again, I then put her on her play stand.

Could she have just been overstimulated from playing? I didn't expect to see this kind of behavior yet, she isn't even 2 years old (from what I was told) and I've only had her for 2.5 months. I've been careful to watch for over bonding. She's not aggressive towards anyone else, even if they are interacting with me. She does get jealous of the cat and dog when I play with them, but I expected that from a pair bond bird.

Any suggestions on what I should do? I don't want to encourage this behavior and have her see me as a mate!

The regurgitating is a sign of affection, so the butt-in-your-face was only the next logical step for her to get your "attention"! You did right by relocating her when she did this. When/if she is like this again, move her to her stand or top of her cage until she "calms down". Not really a punishment, more like a redirection of her attention and energy. Something more entertaining than trying to seduce you.

Also, if you pet them on the back/wings, that's considered a sexual advance, so if you're doing that, then restrict pets to the head only.

Her behavior also makes me think she might be older than you were originally told [emoji51]

I do pet the back and wings. During this play session I had only been scratching her head. She has yet to lay eggs, but I thought this behaviour was a bit mature for 2 years old, though many species if over stimulated seek gratification (something that feels REALLY good) even if they are very young.

Rosa does this too. She pants though, full on deep breath panting. When she does this I always tell her, 'Ok Rosa time to calm down/cool off' and put her back on or in her cage. She does sit with head pets or body pets, sometimes she's just frisky. The relocation and redirection always helps and shes back to being 'normal' in a few minutes.
