She has PBFD and im trying to take the best care of her! Her name is Twilight.
Hi All.

I was perhaps wondering if it was possible if any of you would be able to assist me in trying to help me see if Twilight is a male or female.
Take a look at the pics i posted of him/her.

Thanks so much!!
It seems like she/he is starting to get a very light ring, but i am still unsure.

It will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a mill!!

boy, it's tough to tell what with Twilight's condition, and blue color mutation... Females will sometimes get a very light greyish ring (but not usually until they are 6 or more years old), but only males will ever have black or red feathers in the ring. If you notice any, you can be pretty sure Twilight is a male, otherwise it looks like he/she is still too young to tell for sure.

:)i know its incredibly hard to tell but Twilight is only 1 year and a half...
i guess mommy is excited to find out whether her baby is a boy or girl.
Even though her condition looks terrible the vet says she's eating healthy and she looks healthy (beside her featherloss) she is a happy bird, she's starting to talk and mimic sounds etc.
Sorry for calling Twilight a 'she' but im just so used to it.

Thks.

Hi MikeyTN

Thank you so much.
I really appreciate that!!:smile014:
Twilight means the world to me, She/He's my little heartbeat!

I could only imagine what you went through when you found out your baby have PBFD and watch all the feathers fall out. It brought me to tears to see the pics, but Twilight is a glam of sunshine in your life. That brings a smile to my face! :)
