macaw swing

so im thinking of getting remington this swing
PV93048 - Pet Vision Sisal Perch/Swing - 48" for Medium and Large Birds

i want to rearrange the inside of his cage and take out some "old" things and put in some "new"..he doesnt really use his boing so do you think he would try this?

what do you think? btw he is a GW~

That is cool! Why spend money on it, make it yourself with untreated rope that you buy at the hardware store. This is the only route I am currently taking after my girl got metal poisoning from unsafe toys (I think).

You can make several all over your house for that price and you can change it until Remington loves it.

It really does not take talent, Remmington will never look at it and say pew that is ugly! I usually search for photos and then copy what they did, it is really nothing more than rope and branches.

I made a round swing perch thingamagit for Sterretjie and it took some time for her to take to it. It is currently her most favorite place. I used pvc pipe (irrigation tubing) and a dowel (I just call it a round stick), cut it to 3 different sizes and fitted it together with a short piece of dowel. I then covered it with material and all of it is hooked together with plastic chains.

Try, believe me you will not regret it.
