I have owned my blue/gold macaw from 16weeks old ,he has started screaming when he hears me ,whether he is in cage or out ,is this an attention thing ,

Yes he wants your attention Your his flock and hes calling to make sure your ok [Answer him]. Harlow is super excited when I come home. I come in the door yelling 'Hi Harlow" . Macaws are such people birds [they want to be a part of us].
